We knew this day was inevitably going to come but now it is official, Emilia has stopped her daytime naps! On rare occasions she will go down for an hour or two if she is really tired or after a late night but normally she's perfectly content to last the whole day. Around the time we noticed she wasn't sleeping we started to do "quiet time" in her room. That worked really well for a few weeks and she did a good job of playing quietly with her toys. Then she began leaving her room after a few minutes and sneaking into Daddy's office (where we keep the iPads). I'm no perfect parent by any means but I do have a bit of a problem with too much iPad/TV time. We do allow Emilia & Eduardo to play with their iPads but we TRY to limit it to when we're travelling. Anyway, long story short I figured there were far more stimulating things she could be doing in the afternoon so now Emilia doesn't nap anymore and we have mummy/daughter bonding time where we do some kind of quiet & calm activity together. Yesterday it was playing with Play-doh, other days it's been baking, tea parties or reading. It just depends on her mood and what we feel like! I was a bit worried at first that I wouldn't be able to get anything done and that I'd lose a huge chunk of my day (this is normally when I get all of my blogging/editing done) but I actually find myself really enjoying this special time with just the two of us. (And thankfully Emilia is so independent it's not too difficult to multi-task! ;)

A video posted by Anna Saccone (@annasaccone) on

...And then sometimes we do things like this! She wanted to do "crazy dancing" so this is what we came up with! Have any of my other mamas reading experience the end of naptime? What are some replacement activities you recommend? I would love to know your tips/advice!

Brownie Baking!

It has rained non-stop this whole weekend so yesterday we needed a fun indoor activity to do! Of course what could be more fun than baking brownies on a cold & wet January afternoon?! As you can tell Emilia was pretty excited about that! We had to improvise as our fridge was pretty empty (we got our weekly shop delivered this morning) and had hardly any butter so I quickly searched some recipes on Pinterest. I came up with this one, which seemed perfect - it has very few ingredients and let's be honest, anything involving Nutella is always going to be a winner! We baked them for 30 minutes, (20 would probably have been better - the middle was lovely & chewy but the sides got a bit hard) and served them warm for dessert with vanilla ice-cream. Delicious! I do recommend this recipe, it's not a patch on Kerry's brownies which I normally bake but these are a lighter option & are so simple to make! Let me know if you try these & what you think!

Double Date Night!

Last night was date night! One of my New Year's resolutions is committing to one date night a week & sticking to it! I think it's really important for a healthy marriage and happy relationship! Also it gives you something to look forward to, gets you out of the house, gives you a break from the kids and makes you appreciate each other more! I know it sounds cheesy but it's true! For our first of the year we actually did a double date with our friends Adam & Sabrina. I wore my light grey 7 for All Mankind jeans (bought in the sales!) along with my Ted Baker over-the-knee boots, black Suncoo polo neck and YSL tassel clutch bag.

We went to Novikov in London and ate at the Asian side of the restaurant (I've been to the Italian part before but had never tried this one). At first I had no idea what to expect as the menu was pretty overwhelming and HUGE! Especially because I'm not used to eating most of the stuff we ordered! But we let Adam pick everything for us as he's the sushi expert. We basically got a variety of different things to share including raw salmon & tuna, prawn tempura, black cod, chicken & fish dim sum, vegetable noodles and lots more. It was SO good! To finish off I had the blueberry & pear cake with cinnamon ice-cream which was amazing...anything cinnamon flavoured and I'm in love!

We had such a lovely night out and it was good to do something different and try food we wouldn't normally get! I feel so lucky & blessed to have met such good friends that both Jonathan & I get on with so well. It's tough moving to a new country where you virtually know nobody, especially as a young family. So when we meet people who are on the same wave-length and have similar interests & goals it's something really special & I appreciate it so much! (You can check out Sabrina's blogs here& here.)

Today's video is a Winter Sales Haul where I show what I got in the January online sales...some of these are really good deals so I've linked everything in the description box if you're interested in what I got! Hope you enjoy :)

What Heaven Tastes Like

This was yesterday's laid-back, casual outfit (like I ever wear anything that isn't casual...ha ha ha!). I didn't do anything extra to my hair, just brushed it out and added some oil to the ends as it gets quite dry! I actually prefer how my hair looks on day two than how it looks on the day I curl it. My shirt is by Levi's, the top is Tommy Hilfiger and my jeans are by 7 for All Mankind. I'm also wearing my new pink & grey Michael Kors watch and my black bow Kate Spade bracelet. Of course I also have on my Scorpio necklace but you can't see it with all that hair...ha ha.

And this, ladies and gentlemen is what heaven tastes like. I genuinely think Ben & Jerry's are trying to kill me with these flavours that I had only ever imagined in my wildest dreams. For one thing, we all know I'm a cinnamon freak - I'll add it to all of my food, burn it in a candle, you name it. And then there's the caramel ice-cream...well, it's got the word "cream" in it so no more needs to be said about that. But you're telling me you want to add CINNAMON BUN DOUGH to this magical concoction as well?!? I have no words...no words except for if you never hear from me on this blog again you'll know where to find me. (In the freezer...in an ice-cream coma...looking like an actual human cinnamon bun.)

Sorry for the lack of blog posts yesterday but it ended up being a rather hectic day! This was my cosy & simple errands day outfit from when we took Emilia to ballet and went to the post office! I wore my white 7 for All Mankind jeans (they are lovely but kind of a nightmare when it's raining...think getting in & out of cars etc.!),  fluffy grey & Other Stories jumper, grey Bailey Button Uggs, Mango jacket (this is the new leather one I featured in my sales haul!) and Prada handbag. I was going to wear a higher heel boot but decided to opt for comfort instead as it was FREEZING and these are so cosy!

I've been working out 5 days a week lately and I love it. Doing it in the mornings is such an energy booster and kind of gets me set up & ready for the day. I have tried exercising at all different times including evenings and late afternoon but I can safely say that this is the one that works best for me! Sometimes though, you just can't manage it and life gets in the way...so I might have to try & squeeze it in during nap-time and that's okay too! I included my workout routine in my most recent What I Ate Wednesday video if you want to check that out. I do switch it up depending on what Lucy puts together for me (and have changed it since then!) but I always try and include it in the middle of videos to keep you guys updated so you can follow along with me! A workout session generally takes me in or around 20 minutes and I do the same routine three times (with plenty of water in between!). Luckily Jonathan & I have transformed our garage into a home gym with loudspeakers, a mirror, floor mats and various bits of equipment which is amazing! I honestly feel like HIIT (high intensity interval training) has completely changed my outlook on exercise...it keeps my body feeling challenged, I don't get bored of my workouts, it's quick & easy to fit into any busy schedule and best of all it's been proven to raise your metabolism and keep your body burning energy for hours after you work out. I highly recommend it if you're looking to tone up your whole body without any fancy equipment or joining a gym. I know I've said this before but Lucy has a TON of great HIIT videos on her channel and has even put together a wonderful FREE January workout plan for both beginners & intermediate. So now you have no excuses girls ;) You CAN get fit in 2016!

Here's the video I was talking about...what I ate in a day and my workout routine! Hope you enjoy!

Pamper Day

Happy Friday!

I filmed Eduardo's looooong over-due 18 month update yesterday (at age 20 months, oops!) and despite him completely trashing my room it was actually a whole lot of fun! He's such a MONKEY! I remember filming Emilia's updates and although she would sometimes get a bit hyper, the room tended to remain at a certain level of tidiness. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like little boys are a whole other story...even sweet, sensitive ones like Eduardo! They just want to wreck stuff! I suppose the only thing you can do is embrace the mess...well, until nap-time which is basically when I whizz about the house on a cleaning spree. (I'm not willing to give in to total chaos just yet!!) But this was fun and I can't wait for you guys to see his update. He is such a little character now and talking up a storm.

That afternoon I escaped the house for a bit of a pamper session; a mani pedi and much needed eyebrow shape & tint. I always look forward to these solo getaways but I am also usually so exhausted by the time I get there that I end up almost falling asleep! I mean, I suppose that's probably a good thing as it means I'm relaxed but it's kind of embarrassing...the poor beauticians probably think I'm narcoleptic but nope, just a tired mama!! This time I gave into my current grey obsession and went with Shellac Cityscape on my hands and Asphalt (which is a dark petrol grey) on my feet. I'm so in love with both colours!

I also posted this little throwback yesterday from when Emilia & I were recently playing together and making silly faces. She makes me laugh so much! I want to do one with Eduardo too but they never work properly as his go-to face is a happy one and he doesn't quite understand the concept! I think we need some more practise... ;)

Eduardo's 18 Month Update (At 21 Months!)

$

I am finally getting round to posting Eduardo's 18 Month Update (at 21 months old!). Oops! Sorry it's taken me so long. But here is a little look at his current daily routine:

7:30/8am Wake up, call for mummy/daddy, snuggle in our bed or play with Emilia if she's awake too.

8:30am Breakfast time! He almost always eats porridge cooked on the stove with whole milk, honey, cinnamon and a few raisins mixed in. He also eats half a banana (shared with Emilia) and has water to drink.

9am - 11:30am On weekdays Eduardo always has a morning activity...for example swimming, toddler dance class, playgroup, soft play and toddler arts & crafts. If he doesn't do something in the morning he normally won't go down for his nap very well so even on weekends we make sure to try and take him outside so he gets some fresh air! (That totally makes him sound like a pet dog...ha ha, sorry Eduardo.)

12/12:30pm Lunch time! Eduardo is not fussy at all and will eat most things I give him. Lately he's been loving carrots & parsnips with bulgur/rice/quinoa and some sort of meat like chicken, meatballs or fish. He has a drink of milk and if he's still hungry he gets an organic yoghurt.

1/1:30pm By this time Emilia is back from nursery so the children have a bit of playtime together (in other words - trash the sitting room!) before Eduardo goes down for his afternoon nap.

2pm Eduardo still sleeps for about 2 hours in the afternoon which is a huge blessing as it allows me to get stuff done! Even with Emilia not napping anymore, she is really good and will usually do some sort of quiet activity while I work. For the meantime Eduardo sleeps in his cot - we did take the bars off a while ago but had to put them back on as he just wasn't ready to make the transition! Now that they're back he's been going to sleep really well again. He also HATES pillows! I tried putting Emilia's toddler pillow in his cot about a month ago but he despises it and refuses to go to sleep if it's in there!

4pm Eduardo wakes up from his nap and both kids have a snack. We normally have fruit or fruit salad with water to drink.

5pm This is usually playtime aka trash the sitting room time...ha ha ha. Actually it's really nice that Emilia & Eduardo play together so well. They do lots of imaginary role-play or love to do puzzles/play with Duplo/Play-doh or draw/paint.

6pm Dinner time! Again Eduardo is generally not a fussy eater so he will have whatever we're having as a family. Like I've always done I make sure we sit down to eat dinner together and although it can get stressful if the kids are acting up or don't like what's being served...I know it's a good family habit to have. (Or at least I tell myself that when food is being flung in different directions and I'm on the verge of a breakdown, ha ha.) Both Emilia & Eduardo get a cup of milk with their dinner and some sort of pudding/sweet treat afterwards.

6:30/7pm This is normally the time I allow the children to watch TV (on weekdays that is...at the weekend I'm way more chilled about it! But I figure during the week they should focus on other activities during the day if that makes sense.) So they will watch Doc McStuffins, Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, Sofia the First, Blaze and the Monster Machines or if Emilia allows it - Eduardo's all-time favourite that he now knows all the words to...FROZEN!

7:30pm This is bath-time. Eduardo takes a bath every evening with Emilia and we wash their hair twice a week. They LOVE taking their bath and I feel like it's a wonderful bonding experience for them. They always play together or make up silly games...it's really sweet to watch! After their bath they get their cream & pyjamas on...and we try to have them in bed by 8.

8pm Notice how I said "we try" to have them in bed by this time. Yeah, it doesn't always go according to plan! Jonathan will almost always get them incredibly hyper running around their rooms with them or more recently dragging them around on a "sled" (changing mat). So 8pm normally turns into about 8:30! Since I stopped breastfeeding at 12 months I started putting Emilia down and Jonathan does Eduardo. It wasn't even a conscious decision we made I think it just happened naturally as I really missed putting Emilia to bed and Jonathan wanted more bonding time with Eduardo!

If we have had a fairly normal routine day, Eduardo will sleep through the night with no problems. On occasion Jonathan or I will have to go back up to put him to sleep again and over Christmas was a bit of a nightmare but that was when his cot bars were down. Now everything is back to normal and he is sleeping through till 7:30/8. Thankfully both Emilia & Eduardo have always been good sleepers! And that's his everyday routine. Obviously bear in mind like ALWAYS that these are loose time-frames and we are not robots who do absolutely everything according to a rigid schedule! But we do tend to stick with a general daily routine as I find it really helps with babies/toddlers and keeping them happy and content! I hope this post helped some of you guys out there and let me know if you have any questions!

These are the tempting treats I had to deal with in my kitchen all day yesterday (Emilia & I baked peanut butter brownies over the weekend and we got some pastries that morning just because....well, you know - it was Monday!). The pecan plaits are my favourite...they make the 9am workouts all the more worth it! I bought the glass jars from Ocado and I love them! Now I just need to find some chocolate chip cookies to fill the other one - I have a feeling this could be a slippery slope!

My outfit was super cosy yesterday; I went for my Abercrombie chunky knit cream cardigan, matching J.Crew v-neck tee and my Ted Baker ripped jeans. I love this cardigan but sometimes struggle with deciding what to pair it with as it looks better with low necked tops like this one but lately it's been really cold! I think I need some more circle scarves...I think that would look cute! Let me know if you have any other ideas - I would love to hear what you think!

Hello patient friends!!

I'm back to blogging and I've missed you all so much! It's been a busy start of the year...we went to Ireland recently on a kind of family holiday to break up the post-Christmas gloominess and it was a week of absolute bliss. Delicious food, a beautiful hotel, quality time with loved ones and did I mention the yummy food? Oh yeah...there was a lot of that ;) I tried to keep on track with my workouts during the week but we definitely over-indulged so I've probably put on a bit of...ahem, padding! But it was worth it. Jonathan had an amazing birthday getting totally spoiled! We did some damage in Brown Thomas the day before where he got some much-needed additions to his wardrobe (I was very jealous...but I am proud to say I resisted temptation and did not cross one TOE from menswear over into the beauty department. And believe me, that took a lot of willpower!) I then organised a couples spa day on Saturday, while Emilia & Eduardo were whisked off to my mum's. Poor Jonathan was a bit nervous as he had never had a relaxing massage before (he'd only had sports ones) but he ended up really enjoying it! We both felt super relaxed and enjoyed a very non stressful kid-free room service lunch before going to my mum's for some birthday cake she made him. That evening we got all dressed up for dinner in Jacob's On The Mall which is hands-down the BEST restaurant in Cork. Their food is to die-for! I left feeling very much like a stuffed sausage (hopefully all my fellow mamas out there can relate to that post-pregnancy belly expanding bloat!!). Note to self, do not wear a figure-hugging peplum top when a huge three course meal is on the agenda, or pretty but painful Louboutins in the pouring rain. (There were actual puddles in my shoes on arrival at the restaurant...I wish I was joking.)

So now we are back to the reality of home life and I'm finding myself waiting and wishing for brighter, warmer Spring time! Although these pictures were taken on a sunnier moment today, the weather hasn't been particularly nice and it's SO cold! Which is why I'm living in Uggs and oversized jumpers at the moment. Even the rips in my jeans are getting too chilly to bear...seriously! Today I'm wearing my tan Ugg boots, Ted Baker ripped jeans, Jack Wills cream cable knit jumper & Burberry scarf. My bag is the Louis Vuitton Neverfull which Jonathan calls my "always-full" because between kids' changes of clothes, nappies, wipes and my hundred thousand lipsticks I tend to carry around with me it is always full to the brim. On my lips today I have on MAC lipliner in Soar coupled with MAC lipstick in Shy Girl. I'm also wearing my gold scorpio necklace with the 45cm chain (available here) and the matching bracelet (these just launched yesterday...so exciting!!) and rose gold Swarovski stud earrings.

To find out more about the launch of my bracelets, you can watch the video I made on them here! And let me know which type you prefer. Also I promise not to neglect my blog any more...I will try my best to upload three times a week from now on! Thank you for sticking with me even though I kept you waiting so long. I love all of you so so much! <3

Day at the Park

On Saturday we went to the park for some family fun. Emilia & Eduardo love going there, especially our local playground which is always full at the weekends! My outfit was really comfy & casual. Over this I wore my huge green parka which is lined with fleece and soooo cosy! It's not the prettiest coat but it's the one I've been reaching for the most lately as it's the most practical for when it's freezing cold outside! My jumper is one of my favourites this season as it's super soft and a beautiful baby pink from Ganni. My jeans are the light grey high-waisted skinnies from 7 For All Mankind. The high-tops are my grey suede Nikes which I got on sale from Net-A-Porter and I am wearing my Scorpio necklace in rose-gold on the 60cm (medium) chain. I've also got on the Zodiac bracelet in gold but it's not quite visible here! My grey bobble hat is from Esprit (I've been obsessed with these hats lately as you can tell!)

Here are Emilia & Eduardo's outfits! Emilia is all in burgundy; her skirt, cardigan and tights are from Du Pareil Au Meme, the boots are from Zara and her bow is from Belle Vintage Boutique. She is wearing her rose-gold Virgo necklace on the small (45cm) chain! Eduardo's shirt is from Gap, the top underneath and high-tops are from Zara and his jeans are Armani

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Don't forget to check out today's video below, which is an Ask Anna where I answer your questions from Twitter& Facebook! Hope you enjoy :)

What I Ate Wednesday! {22.2.16}

I haven't done one of these blog posts in forever!

Breakfast (8:30am)
Lately my breakfast has been the same every morning. I have organic porridge oats with skimmed milk, a medjool date (these taste amazing...like a caramel sweet!) chopped up into it along with some cinnamon. I also have a cup of black coffee (not pictured) and a pint of water before eating anything!

Lunch 12pm
After breakfast I did a 20 minute HIIT workout & drank another 500ml bottle of water. Then I had lunch at noon which was wholegrain pitta bread with avocado, cucumber, feta cheese, peppers, rocket and lemon juice. Even though there are actually two pitta breads in this picture I ended up eating one and leaving some feta (my eyes are ALWAYS bigger than my belly!).

Snack (3:30pm)
In the afternoon I always go through a bit of a slump which usually means I need coffee! So I had another black one with some fruit salad. (Fruit and coffee actually don't go that nicely together...but I try to keep my snacks healthy during the day!) Today's fruit salad contained blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, kiwi, mango and a splash of Innocent Mango & Passionfruit Smoothie. After my snack I also downed another 1/2L bottle of water!

Dinner (6:15pm)
I totally forgot to take a picture of dinner until I was about halfway through...oops! Yes, halfway...my pasta portions are always massive! For dinner I had wholewheat casarecce pasta with aubergines, onions & mediterranean veggie sauce. This is one of my favourite meals ever. Pasta & veggies = yum! Along with dinner I had another bottle of water.

Dessert (8:45pm)
That evening while Jonathan & I were watching TV we enjoyed some tea & biscuits. It's become kind of a night time tradition to do this together and I love it because it makes cold evenings seem really cosy! I have peppermint & licorice tea and he has camomile. We both like the Teapigs brand best. My current favourite sweet treat of the moment is chocolate Hobnobs! I know I've mentioned them before but I am obsessed! They're even better dipped into coffee or hot milk ;)

Here's the video on my workout and what I ate...what did you eat today?!

Date Night Outfit

Wednesday night was date night and here's what I wore! I stuck with the earthy tones and added a bit of black for some contrast. The top is from Diesel and you can't really see it properly because of my scarf but it's in a military style. I wore it with leather leggings to our New York meet & greet! This time I paired it with tan skinnies from Selected (these are really old and I'm kind of surprised they still fit!), black wedge boots from Whistles and a printed circle scarf from Accessorize. The bag is by Prada and I'm also wearing my gold Scorpio necklace& matching bracelet along with a black & gold bow bracelet from Kate Spade

On my lips is MAC's Shy Girl lipstick teamed with Soar lipliner. I was going to do something nice with my hair but I ended up just leaving it natural (no heat just washed the night before and left to air dry!) because I was too lazy! And you know on top of this entire outfit I threw my massive Parka London coat...Jonathan kept it classy with his white shirt & trench but not this girl!! I will choose looking like a fisherman over being cold any day of the week, date night or not!

What I Ate Wednesday {29.2.16}

I'm back...sorry for the lack of blog posts this week but I've been struggling with this stupid allergic reaction I got on my eyes and we've all been ill as Emilia picked up a cough/cold from nursery and on top of that Eduardo has an ear infection! So we are all falling apart basically, ha ha! And the 29th (Leap Year) marked our unofficial "one year" anniversary of our legal wedding so we wanted to celebrate by doing something special. We had planned to spend the night in a hotel in London and I was also supposed to meet my friend Sabrina for afternoon tea & a pampering day but of course that didn't happen so I apologise that this has ended up being a very uninteresting and boring What I Ate post! But anyway...here's what I had to eat:

Breakfast (8:30am)
Breakfast was porridge with whole milk, a medjool date chopped up, cinnamon and a black coffee with a 1/2 litre bottle of water.  After that I worked out with Lucy (9am) and we did a 20 minute HIIT workout which I included in my video. It's basically the same routine three times over!

Lunch (12:30pm)
Lunch was a toasted wholegrain multiseed bagel slathered in Philadelphia cream cheese with smoked salmon, cucumber and a homemade ginger tea for my throat. I also had another bottle of water which I started during my workout.

Snack (4:30pm)
In the afternoon I had a black coffee & a little snack of natural yoghurt with some blueberries, raspberries and strawberries with a sprinkle of cinnamon. (Can you tell I love cinnamon?!)

Dinner (6pm)
I made wholewheat spaghetti with prawns, chilli, rocket & sun-dried tomatoes (recipe from Jamie's Italy book). This was yummy and super easy to make. Plus pasta is always a hit with the kids so it gets a thumbs up from me! I also drank another 1/2 litre of water with my dinner.

Dessert (6:30pm)
For pudding I was craving one of these cookies from our cookie jar...these babies are from the Waitrose bakery and are chewy, soft and taste homemade. I got three different types but this one is my favourite: white chocolate and cranberry. I had mine with a cup of warm skim milk which I heated up in our frothing machine.

Later that evening I had another 1/2 litre of water along with a peppermint & licorice tea and that was it for today! You can watch my What I Ate video including this week's workout below.

What did you eat today?

Winter Uniform

Since I majorly failed at blogging last week,I promise to do better this week and have got three posts planned out already for you guys! Here's a recent outfit which has become a kind of everyday uniform for me, given the chilly weather & comfort factor of everything involved in this look! It's so simple & easy; skinny jeans, a loose tee, flannel shirt and Ugg boots. Slip on a beanie and you're done! My shirt is from Levi's, the t-shirt is by Velvet, the jeans and the hat are from Ted Baker. I am also wearing my gold scorpio necklace on the small chain, gold scorpio bracelet, Kate Spade bow bangle and grey & pink Michael Kors watch. My bag is by Prada

Last week went very unexpectedly due to the allergic reaction I got on my eyes and having to cancel quite a few things as a result of that. But I am back to normal now and thankfully my eyes have fully recovered! Today's video is a Snapchat Q&A where I opened your messages on camera and answered your questions! I covered lots of different topics...from having another baby, my phobias/fears and the thing I like most about Jonathan! Hope you enjoy :)

Breakfast (8:30am)

Breakfast was the same as always...porridge with skimmed milk, chopped medjool date, cinnamon & a black coffee. I also had my usual bottle of water before breakfast and another one with my morning workout!

Lunch (1:30pm)

I was starving by the time lunch came around...yesterday was Emilia's swimming day so we were out all morning! For lunch I had grilled aubergine & courgette salad with cherry tomatoes, rocket & red onion.

Afternoon Snack (3:30pm)

That afternoon I had a homemade brownie that I had baked over the weekend (these are to die-for!!) with my coffee (taken black). I also downed another bottle of water!

Dinner (6pm-ish)

For dinner we had chicken pilau with carrots...this was so yummy & filling! And another bottle of water which meant I had 2L total - woo hoo!

Dessert (6:30pm)

For dessert I had something light as I was pretty full after dinner (but still craving sweets!) so I ate fruit salad which was made up of blueberries, strawberries, bananas, grapes, raspberries, apples and cinnamon topped with mango & passionfruit smoothie.

Tea (8:30pm)

After the kids were in bed I relaxed with a cup of Teapigs Sweet Treat tea which contains licorice & peppermint. And that's it! You can watch the video of what I ate including my workout here:

Green & Gold

These photos were taken around the time when I was still recovering from that allergic reaction on my eyes so I went for a very minimal makeup look! I'm wearing a dark moss green polo neck jumper from Gestuz along with my Michael Kors leather leggings from two Christmases ago. The boots are by Valentino and I already need to re-heel them :( The tip of one of the heels came off on my second or third time wearing them! So disappointing, even though I still do love them. I'm also wearing my gold Scorpio necklace with the small length chain and the gold Scorpio charm bracelet in the medium size. My earrings are Swarovski and the bow bangle is from Kate Spade. My bag is by Prada which was a birthday present while we were in New York! This lipstick colour is Chanel Rouge Coco in Adrienne. It looks nude in the tube but on me it comes up a bit darker (not that it looks that way in the pictures...I just feel like it's a bit darker out of the 100 other nude shades I own!)

Today's video is an extreeeemely long spring fashion haul! I went on a bit of a ramble about weight & body confidence in the beginning so I apologise for that if you're not interested that kind of thing, ha ha! I didn't try anything on in the video as the weather was awful on the day I filmed and I figured you'll probably see everything featured here on my blog at some point :) Hope you enjoy and have a lovely weekend!

All About that Cape Life

I don't wear this cape often enough but when I do, I love it! I think the weather just needs to warm up a little bit before I can break it out more. The cape is from ASOS and I wore it with a camel Moschino scarf, Whistles blue shirt and Michael Kors green skinny jeans. My boots are from H by Hudson and I wore these to death last year! They are still one of my most comfortable pairs and I feel like they go with everything! My bag is the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM.

My jewellery is all the same as always: Scorpio necklace in gold on the small size chain, gold Scorpio charm bracelet and Swarovski earrings. My lip colour is Chanel Rouge Coco in Adrienne. This was actually the outfit I wore to take Emilia swimming last week! It was watch week which meant all the parents get to watch their kids' progress and sit in on the lesson. I'm always amazed and so impressed by her confidence and how well behaved she is when I see her in these situations! She makes me proud to be her mummy everyday <3

Today's video is a grocery haul! So if you're wondering what we buy in our weekly shop, here's a little peek! Bear in mind we don't buy all of the same stuff every week and some of this will obviously last a lot longer than a week...also little disclaimer - we are not vegans nor do we ever plan to be. So if meat & dairy products offend you, simply don't watch :)

Breakfast (8am)

We are trying out a new breakfast every day this week in an effort to get the kids (well, Emilia) to enjoy it a bit more as normally it takes her about an hour to finish her porridge. So I figured I'd change things up a bit and so far so good! This morning I had greek yoghurt with granola, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Before that I also drank a cup of Clipper Rise & Shine tea to aid digestion (works like a charm!). And of course I had my usual 1/2 litre of water. After breakfast I made myself a cup of black coffee. (I don't think I could live without my morning coffee!)

Morning Snack (11am)

After my workout I had a banana and tbsp of peanut butter. This is my favourite post exercise snack! And my peanut butter servings just keep getting bigger & bigger, ha ha! While working out I drank another 1/2 litre of water.

Lunch (1pm)

For lunch I had beetroot and feta salad with mixed beans, pickled gherkins and red onion. It was so crunchy & delicious! I think beetroot and goat's cheese or feta is one of my favourite combinations ever!

Afternoon Snack (4pm)

At about 4 o'clock I was hungry again so I had an apple & granola bar with my coffee. I love these Nature's Path organic trail mix granola bars. Jonathan loves the dark chocolate chip kind so we buy about 2 packs of them each! I also drank another 1/2 litre of water as I always get really thirsty around this time of day!

Dinner (6:30pm)

I think we had the same dinner as this last week but I'm not sure...it is one of our staples though! This is chicken pilaff made with jasmine rice, chicken thighs, carrots and coconut oil. I also had some red cabbage stewed with porcini mushrooms (yummy!!) on the side. Along with dinner I downed another 1/2 litre bottle of water.

Dessert (9pm)

After the kids had gone to bed I took my shower and then came downstair to enjoy one of these St. Patrick's Day cupcakes we baked that afternoon! I made these using my usual chocolate cupcake recipe and topped them with buttercream icing to which I added some peppermint extract and a few squirts of green gel food colouring. We decorated them with lucky charms and a Haribo rainbow stick. Even our cases were rainbow themed! I'm not normally a big mint & chocolate fan but I don't think I've ever met a cake I didn't like so of course I tried them...and they are actually really good and moreish! I had mine with a cup of Pukka Detox tea which contains fennel seed, cardamom and licorice root. It was good but the Teapigs Sweet Treat is still my favourite!

And here's the video of what I ate including my workout (which I do three times total...I feel like I repeat myself constantly but I still get questions on this everyday!). What did you eat today?

Here's an outfit I wore recently when taking Emilia to ballet class. She joined a new class group recently and I had actually forgotten about it because it's on a different day so we ended up rushing in a total panic out the door! So this was kind of thrown together and had there been more time I probably would have swapped out my bag for a black one but this is what I ended up with! The jumper is a new purchase from ASOS; the brand is Selected. I actually really like it - comfy, cosy and flattering at the same time. And I feel like the white brightens up the look. My jeans are from Ted Baker (one of my favourite pairs), the black wedge boots are by Whistles and extremely comfortable for a 3 - 3 1/2 inch heel. My leather jacket is from Mango and although it ties the look together I quickly realised it's still far too cold to wear it :( My bag is the LV Neverfull (MM).

Today's video is a What's In My Bag, where I show you guys the newest addition to my collection and also give you a look inside it so you can see the huge amount of crap I carry around with me...ha ha ha! So if you're interested in seeing a ridiculous amount of lipsticks and old receipts, this one's for you!
