Mommy Monday: 2 Month Postpartum Update!

$
0
0

Here's what my belly looks like at 2 months postpartum! I have now lost all the baby weight due to breastfeeding a lot & eating normally. I actually weigh a pound less than my pre-pregnancy weight but I suspect that is because Eduardo is feeding so much! The same thing happened with Emilia. No exercise yet, as we've been so busy with the move! I know I'm forever saying it but I do want to work out eventually once we get more settled...ahh if only there were more hours in a day!

Onto this little munchkin - I can't believe Eduardo is 2 months old! (Don't mind the spit-up on my shoulder...ha ha oops!)

Height/Weight: At his 6 week appointment, Eduardo weighed 10 and 1/2 lbs! The doctor was really happy with that - he said he was booming :) We didn't get a height for him so I don't know how long/tall he is. He is quickly getting too big for his baby bath though, so I know he is growing lengthways too!

Routine: The routine is pretty much the same as in my last update, except that Eduardo feeds for longer and less frequently. He wakes up at around 6/6:30am for a big feed, then has another mini snooze while we're all eating breakfast. He eats again at around 10/11am. Then he goes down for another nap which is usually taken while we're out & about if we have errands to run. He feeds again after lunch/around when Emilia goes down for her nap. Then he has a bit of activity time before going down again. He & Emilia go up for their bath together at about 7pm, after which he gets his big night time feed with me in our bedroom before being put down in his co-sleeper for around 8pm.

Sleeping: Eduardo is sleeping really well - especially since we've moved! Some nights he'll only wake once, others it's still twice. A couple of nights he slept till 5am...it was amazing! Usually he does wake at about 2/3am though.

Eating/Feeding: He is breastfeeding like a champ...in fact I think he has a pretty big appetite! Some days are more intense than others where he'll feed for a very long time at each sitting. One of the good things about this is that I feel it's contributed to him sleeping so well at night. He seems to get his fill during the day and which in turn makes him sleep longer after his bedtime.

Sizes: I'm still dressing him in mostly 0-3 month clothing but this is mostly because I can't find anything as Eduardo doesn't have a dresser/closet yet so his stuff is all in boxes! He just moved up to size 3 nappies though. And a lot of his 0-3 month clothing is getting small...I imagine he will be in size 3 months soon (when I can find those clothes!).

Milestones: Eduardo is getting so much more reactive to his surroundings, toys, people etc. His vision has also definitely improved as he reacts when someone enters the room or if we wave at him from a distance. We recently bought him a playmat which he loves. He finds the dangling toys & bright colours very stimulating...although he probably gets enough stimulation from his sister alone! Emilia is Eduardo's hero right now, he adores her and everything she does makes him laugh or smile! He also has become such a smiley baby, as you can tell from the pictures! He is a content & chilled out little fellow :) I actually couldn't stop laughing when I was editing these pictures as it looks like he's having a grand old time in each one! Ha ha ha!

That's our 2 month update! You can watch the video (complete with spit-ups!) here:

What I Ate Wednesday {17.6.14}

Breakfast
I had Quaker Oat So Simple Original porridge with almond milk, 1/2 banana, blueberries & cinnamon (pretty much the same as always!), apple-flavour Spatone in my pint of water and our LAST Nespresso capsule! :( Boo hoo!

Snack
At around 11am I usually get hungry again so I had a Pink Lady apple and some deglet nour dates...oh my God, these are amazing! They taste like a treat & are perfect if you crave sweets!

Lunch
Our latest obsession right now has to be Starbucks...I feel like we are making up for all the years of living in a town without one, ha ha ha! I had a smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel and my current summer favourite - a grande Caramel Cream! These are heavenly...if you haven't tried one you need to get to your local Starbucks asap and order it! I think I'm addicted to these, especially since the weather has been so good here!

Afternoon Coffee
The caramel cream frappuccino has no coffee in it, so when I got home I had one of these! We couldn't get our hands on any Nespresso capsules (the website was being glitchy and we couldn't find any Nespresso bars!) so decided to trial these knock-off ones. I had a "Lungo Americano" - it was okay but nothing like the real thing! I wouldn't recommend them.

Dinner
For dinner we actually had leftovers - this was what I made on Monday night! Spaghetti vongole (spaghetti with clams). This is one of my all-time favourite pasta dishes, I almost always order it when I'm at an Italian restaurant. I used a Jamie Oliver recipe which you can check out here. It's made with fresh clams, cherry tomatoes, flat leaf parsley, chilli, olive oil & white wine. I will definitely make this again!

Evening Coffee
I had another knock-off Nespresso later that evening...this was a level 9 and it was awful! It didn't even froth properly and tasted very watery :( Thankfully we eventually got to order some of the real deal online so our capsules will be here tomorrow!

That's it for the day! I also drank 2L water. You can check out my What I Ate Wednesday vlog here!

Fashion Friday: Baking Day!

Sometimes a sunny day calls for a hot pink dress! Remember that postpartum fashion haul I did when I was heavily pregnant with Eduardo? Well here is one of the summery nursing dresses I featured by Boob. I have to say I wasn't sure about it until I actually put it on. After wearing it today on a relatively warm day while baking cupcakes & cooking up a storm in the kitchen, I can safely say I love it! Nursing wear is so convenient & easy...it's not even about covering up in public (I stayed home all day today) - it's about comfort. This dress kept me cool while at the same time giving me the freedom to break for feeds!

My shoes are by Red Herring but to be completely honest since I was home & on my feet all day I just slopped around in slippers ;) Let's just say this is what I *would* have worn had I actually left the house! My bracelets are all Alex & Ani, my earrings are by Krystal and I'm wearing my gold Scorpio necklace from my dad.

Here's my little munchkin's outfit of the day! She's finally getting some wear out of her summer attire too. Her whole outfit (skirt, cardigan, vest) is from The Children's Place and she had so much fun twirling around in it! So much fun in fact that it was almost impossible to take a picture ;) Emilia's bow & headband are from Layniebug Designs and of course she's not wearing any shoes here but when she went out into the garden she wore her Peppa Pig wellies...21 month olds are the best stylists :)

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Sweet Sunday: Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcakes!

$

0

This is definitely my favourite cupcake of the series so far! Probably because I have an unhealthy obsession with cream cheese frosting...I could literally eat a whole vat of the stuff! But what makes these Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcakes even more special is that the strawberry jam & cream cheese filling. It's like a jammy dodger cupcake surprise when you bite into it! Aside from all that, they look very pretty and summery plus your whole kitchen will smell like strawberries & cream when you're finished baking - who doesn't want that?!

To make the cupcakes you will need:

2 1/3 cups plain flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cups caster sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons & 1 teaspoon strawberry jam
3 oz cream cheese, cut into 24 cubes

To make the cream cheese frosting you will need:

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-3 teaspoons milk
4 cups icing sugar

To decorate the cupcakes I sliced some fresh strawberries and placed one on top of each. The red & pink cupcake cases are from Waitrose and I bought this cardboard cupcake stand from Morissons! This recipe bakes 24 cupcakes. 1 cupcake = 320 cals. To see how we baked these, check out the video here!

We hope you enjoy this recipe - if you do try it out let us know by tweeting us a picture/tagging us on Instagram

Nothing to do with cupcakes but I just wanted to share this picture from our family picnic yesterday! We have been so lucky with the weather lately, we decided to make the most of it and have a little picnic in the park! Emilia loved it...she had so much fun eating outside & running around stealing other children's toys! Her dress is from Zara, mine is another nursing dress from Boob and my jacket is from H&M (soooo old! Maybe 5 years now!).

What I Ate Wednesday {24.6.14}

Breakfast
For breakfast I've been eating Quaker Oat So Simple (original) with light soy milk, (usually it's almond but we were out!), 1/2 a banana, some chopped deglet nour dates (these are delicious!) and cinnamon. I love these dates! They are so sweet & yummy, like a dessert! I also have a black coffee - this is Nespresso's Fortissio Lungo.

Yesterday was our first breakfast at our new dining table :) Emilia had mini Weetabix with whole milk & orange juice.

Mid-morning Snack
This was before our weekly shop came in so we were pretty much all out of fresh fruit & yoghurt so I rummaged through the food cupboard and found some banana chips! I like these if I'm in a snacky mood (which is all the time lately!) as they fill me up for a couple of hours.

Lunch
This was leftovers from the day before's lunch! We tried out Cook Food which they have in our town & we had leftover coconut and lime rice so I had half of that with some soya beans & spring onions. These were actually sides to a fish curry I got but they were good together as a light lunch too!

Afternoon Snack/Dessert
I had another black coffee with a raspberry coconut slice, also from Cook Food! I'm not a huge fan of coconut but this was good. Jonathan picked it though, it wouldn't have been my first choice ;) Not that I'm complaining!

Dinner
This was a bit of a mess as I had planned to cook a yummy chicken & ginger stir fry BUT we ended up being out super late as we were visiting a doggie daycare and by the time we left there it was the kids' bedtime already. So it was far too late to start cooking and we picked up McDonald's on the way home! I got my wonderfully healthy staple - a cheeseburger Happy Meal! ;)

Evening Coffee
After the kids were in bed (fiiiinally! It was so late!) I had another much-needed coffee...this one is the Vivalto Lungo which is a lighter intensity so it's better suited to bedtime.

I also drank about 2L of water throughout the day! That's it...sorry this wasn't a particularly healthy or inspirational What I Ate post, but that's real life I suppose! You can watch the video version here:

Recipe: Healthy Granola Bars!

$

Yesterday I baked some chewy seedy oat & sultana bars and I thought I'd share the recipe! I adapted this slightly from a recipe I got out of Rachel Allen's book "Rachel's Favourite Food at Home". The idea to bake these actually came from Emilia! As I've mentioned before she's going through a picky eating phase and breakfast can be a particularly difficult mealtime. It seems like all she wants to eat now are her dad's NutriGrains BUT I don't really like giving them to her. I'd much rather she ate something home-baked than a shop-bought breakfast bar with tons of additives & sugar in it! So I decided to try out this recipe...and it was a success! These are deliciously chewy and yummy. Not to mention the fact that they are packed full of healthy ingredients! I love to eat mine with my afternoon coffee :)

This recipe makes about 18 bars. 1 bar = 335 calories. Here is the list of ingredients I used!

300g porridge oats
50g pumpkin seeds
50g sunflower seeds
50g desiccated coconut
50g plain flour
200g butter
200g golden syrup
150g soft brown sugar
150g sultanas
125g crunchy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract

You can watch the recipe video here!

Jonathan absolutely loves them! He says they taste like a homemade Tracker bar :) I store these in an air-tight container but you can freeze them too if you like! These would be perfect for kids' lunchboxes or an on-the-go snack.

Let me know what you think if you try them!

Mommy Monday: 3 Month Postpartum / Baby Update!

$

Here is the belly at 3 months postpartum! I did lose more weight this month due to exclusively breastfeeding which I wasn't happy with, so I slowly tried to gain it back as I feel I'm my healthiest around the 115lb mark. I didn't change anything about my eating habits/non-existent workout routine though! It's all to do with the fact that breastfeeding burns an extra 500 calories a day...so it's hard sometimes to keep up with that! But I'm back to normal now and trying to maintain my weight.

Eduardo at 3 months old!

Height/Weight: No idea, sorry! He has definitely grown though as he's going up in clothing sizes!

Routine: His bedtime is around 8/9pm (we've been way off the normal routine with all the travelling lately though!) and he wakes around 6:30am/7am. He still cat-naps throughout the day but I've noticed he probably needs to start napping in his cot or somewhere quieter/away from noise. He will feed around 5 times a day.

Sleeping: At 2 months old, Eduardo started sleeping through the night. It was amazing!! And then we went to Ireland for a week...between sleeping in the same hotel room and breaking the normal routine, he's back to waking once a night again :( Boo! It was fun while it lasted though. Hopefully we'll get back to that again!

Eating/Feeding: Like I said above, he is still breastfeeding exclusively and probably feeds around 5 times a day.

Sizes: Eduardo is wearing all 3-6 months clothing now except for pants which are a mix of 0-3 and 3 months...he has rather short legs! He is still wearing size 3 nappies.

Milestones: Eduardo now grabs onto things and reaches for his toys. He especially likes his teething rings/toys in particular. He just started teething this month and I can see the two bottom front teeth coming up!! He also loves to sit up...sometimes he will object to being anywhere other than sitting! I've noticed that he enjoys moving around and changing his surroundings a lot more, whereas before he was comfortable with just being in his swing or stroller, now he likes to mix it up between lying on his playmat, sitting in a bouncer chair and in his TrippTrapp (never for very long though!).

What I Ate Wednesday {15.7.14}

Breakfast
I had a big bowl of Oat So Simple porridge (the original kind) with almond milk, strawberries, blueberries and a tablespoon of organic manuka honey. This was really good!! I also drank a pint of water with my Spatone iron supplement & a black coffee.

Mid Morning Snack
For a mid-morning snack I had a banana and a handful of almonds. I've really been craving nuts recently!

Lunch
We ate lunch outside as we've been so lucky with the beautiful weather lately! We had panini with mature cheddar & amazing ham that Jonathan buys from the butcher's! I got this bread fresh from the bakery and it's so good but the breadrolls are pretty huge! This was half of one that Jonathan and I shared. I also had some cherry tomatoes and another pint of water!

Afternoon Snack
In the afternoon I snacked on two rice-cakes with almond butter (my first time trying it!). If I'm honest I don't really get the hype about almond butter...I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and I do like it but I don't think it's all that different from peanut butter! I think this would be good with an apple or some celery too! I also had another coffee & sweetened it with some Truvia.

Dinner
For dinner I made Jamie Oliver's Trapani Pasta with wholewheat tortiglioni. This is a family favourite...everybody loves it including Emilia! Jonathan asks for it almost every week and it's SO simple to make! It features a raw sauce of cherry tomatoes, parmesan, almonds, chilli, basil, anchovies & garlic...very easy and fresh for summer! You can find the recipe in Jamie's 30 Minute Meals cookbook.

Dessert
We'd been eating a lot of junk lately so I was craving something healthier for dessert! I made a fruit salad for everybody. Mine was with organic bio live yoghurt, some strawberries, half a banana and cinnamon for flavour.

After dinner I also had another coffee with truvia. And that was it! I drank about 2L of water too. What did you eat today?! You can watch my video here:

Sweet Sunday: Snickers Cupcakes!

$
0
0

I don't know if these are necessarily a very summery recipe, however I was craving some Snickers Cupcakes so here they are! What makes these special is their yummy peanut filling and brown sugar frosting. Emilia loved the frosting but we quickly discovered that she's not a fan of peanuts! (She spat them all out while eating the Snickers on top...ha ha ha!)

To make the filling you will need:

6 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons icing sugar
1 egg
2 and 1/2 Snickers bars, chopped up

To make the cupcakes you will need:

1 and 1/2 cups plain flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract

Emilia wasn't in the best of moods to film a video today...it was very hot and I don't think she had much interest in being cooped up inside (I don't blame her!). All she wanted to do was sneak little bits of cupcake batter into her mouth when I wasn't looking!

To make the brown sugar frosting you will need:

1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
3 tbsp milk
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 Snickers bars, chopped up to garnish

This recipe bakes 18 cupcakes! To watch the video on how I made them, please see below:

I hope you guys enjoyed this recipe! Let me know if you try these out - you can tag me on Twitter, Instagram or FB

Beauty Tuesday: Getting Your Body Bikini Ready!

$
0

I was recently sent some products from the Nivea Q10 Firming skincare range to try out. Claiming to "firm the skin" or "reduce the appearance of cellulite/stretch marks" in 2 weeks/10 days (depending on the product) I thought I'd give them a whirl. Although I do eat pretty healthy, I've been quite lazy about exercise these past few months and have put it on the back-burner...however bikini season is upon us so this seemed like a good idea for me!

I remember when Nivea first came out with an "anti-cellulite" cream. I think I was maybe 15 or 16 when I bought my first bottle...used it for a day or two, then impatiently gave up when I saw no results. This time I was determined to properly put this product line to the test. So how did they do?

Nivea Q10 Firming Body Lotion
The first thing I tried was the body lotion. This claims to firm up your skin in 2 weeks but I noticed a difference instantly. I use this on my arms, legs & back after showering and it gives my skin a tight, firm feeling without being overly greasy or slippery! What I love about this stuff is how quickly it dries so I can get dressed straight away after applying it.

Nivea Q10 Good-bye Cellulite Serum and Gel-Cream
These were the two products I was most curious to try as I was skeptical about whether or not they would actually work. They claim to reduce the appearance of cellulite in 10 days so I diligently used them day & night for the required time. Within about a week I could tell a difference. Granted, nothing like what a bit of strength training & exercise would have done but my legs & bum definitely felt firmer and even Jonathan said he could tell a difference! I use the gel-cream in the mornings after my shower all over my thighs and bum and the more concentrated serum on the same areas at night. The only reason I prefer to do this is because the serum takes a bit longer to absorb into my skin so I don't like the feel of that under jeans or leggings. When you apply these to your legs they feel a lot tighter and taut...obviously exercise and good diet are the only things that will completely eliminate cellulite but this definitely helps.

Nivea Q10 Firming Body Oil
After having two babies 19 months apart and at 3 months postpartum my tummy is in need of some TLC! So I have been slathering on Nivea Body Oil day and night in an attempt to fade the stretch marks around my bellybutton & improve my skin's elasticity. I use it both day & night all over my belly and although it's nowhere near perfect, flat or jiggle-free, my stretch marks have faded a lot! Also this stuff doesn't take forever to dry which can be a problem with most oils/body butters. I don't have a problem with it staining my clothes provided I wait a little while before getting dressed!

Nivea Q10 Firming Body Moisturiser
Lastly I have been using the body moisturiser which has a slightly richer formula. I apply this to the areas which need it most - for me that would be my feet, elbows & knees. Nivea have a guide at the back of their products which tells you exactly how much moisture it will give you, from light to rich. This makes it easy when deciding what to get in terms of what the different areas of your body needs! I like this one because it targets dry skin and keeps mine feeling super soft. I keep it on my bed-side table and apply it to my feet at night too!

Those are the products that have become part of my routine these past 3 weeks. Let me know what you think and if you have tried them before, or if they are something you would be interested in! I am definitely happy with the results after using the Nivea Q10 range. While they won't make you drop pounds or melt fat instantly I think they'll certainly to make your skin look and feel firmer and supple along-side sensible diet & moderate exercise!

I know I haven't done a Throwback Thursday post in a while...this one is from when I was a baby at the beach with my mama! I think this was taken in Ireland...it looks quite cold anyway ;)

I also uploaded a new Shape Up for Summer video today! If you'd like to listen to me ramble on about body confidence & my new little "personal trainer" then this one's for you!

I have been wearing my Fitbug for the past week now and I love it! You can purchase it in pink here. It's like your very own personal trainer as it tracks your steps, sleep & calories! Hopefully this will help keep me on track for Sorrento next month!

Fashion Friday: Garden Outfits!

Here's what we wore to our private "garden party" yesterday! In other words, here's what we wore on a regular weekday spent lounging around in the sunshine in our back garden :) I am wearing a nursing t-shirt from Boob, some white sequined shorts I got in a tiny boutique in Sorrento & my white & gold Havaianas. Emilia got this black & grey polka dot dress as a present from someone and it doesn't have a label so I don't know where it's from! :( Sorry! Her black bow is from Layniebug Designs and we decided it was too hot for shoes!

Eduardo is wearing a teal top from DPAM, Zara leggings and a grey star Jack & Jillaroo dribble bib! I love these leggings on him...they are so cute!

And here is Jonathan's new shape up for summer plan! Lifting Maltese puppies :) His outfit is basically all Topman, except for the hat - that's from Superdry.

How crazy is it that while I was editing these pictures for my blog, Emilia came over to me, looked at this one and said "SINA!" I am so amazed at how she recognises all the dogs' faces, even in photographs!

You can watch our family outfits of the day video above! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Style Saturday: Mommy's Day Out!

Yesterday I had a long overdue mommy's day out with my friend Holly! We spent the whole day in Bluewater Shopping Centre where we got Starbucks fraps & retail therapy! Of course I brought Eduardo along with me but it was nice to get out of the house (kind of) on my own for some free time away from the normal "mommy duties". It was also my first time driving on the M25 by myself which I was SO scared to do but now that I've done it once I feel a lot braver & like I want to do it again! I am slowly getting used to driving in the UK and it's getting easier everyday. Although I still can't park to save my life...but I don't think that will ever change!

My outfit is all by Selected (the top & pants). The flats are a bit overkill on the stripes but they were the only pair I could find that really matched! They are from TK Maxx but the brand is La Strada. My accessories are the same as always - hammered gold Orelia hoops, Alex & Ani bracelets and Scorpio necklace from my dad.

Emilia was so happy to finally be able to wear her Minnie Mouse dress! I had initially been saving it for a special occasion but I decided to put it on her today as the weather has been so nice & she has been living in all her dresses. It's good for her to finally get some use out of them! This was a present but I'm pretty sure it came from the Disney Shop. She is wearing a black & red bow/headband combination from Layniebug Designs and her pink sandals were a present from my mom! I know they don't match this outfit but they are kind of like Emilia's gardening shoes...ha ha ha! She wears them while pottering around the garden and has been obsessed with them ever since my mom brought them back from Italy for her!

Eduardo was as good as gold for his mommy...letting me shop & sip fraps with no complaints! What a clever boy ;) Let's hope he stays that way!! (He won't...but I will savour these moments while they last!) Eduardo is wearing striped blue & white dungarees and a white polo-shirt onesie from H&M. These dungarees came with a matching sunhat which is SO cute! His dribble bib is the blue & white gingham one from Jack & Jillaroo and we didn't wear socks today as it was hot.

Those were our little outfits of the day! I hope you guys enjoyed. If you want to see the vlog I shot for my channel which includes our outfits & a bit of what I ate you can check it out above!

Family Day Out!

Yesterday was a fun family day at the park! Emilia loves the swings...she would have stayed on for an hour if she could have it her way! I am dressed super casual & comfy, kind of menswear inspired! I have on a loose Gap tee in white and my boyfriend jeans from ASOS. I also wore my white Havaianas which you can't see here!

The above picture is of Emilia's face when I mentioned the swings...ha ha ha! She's so cute! She is wearing a navy blue star dress from Next, gold sequined bow (this was a gift from a lovely viewer and I can't remember her website name - if she is reading this please let me know and I will update the post!) She is also wearing her pink giraffe sandals from my mom :)

Eduardo is wearing a little red stripy dungaree set from Next. The dungarees come with a grey long-sleeve onesie that goes underneath but it ended up being way too hot for this outfit!

We have been using the Ooba stroller by Cosatto a lot lately and so far we love it! When we're going on longer trips/walks we take the Jané Twone double stroller which is amazing too but this is great for smaller trips as it's light & easy to move around. We have it in the colour "duck egg" and I love the retro design, it's so cute!

I bought this maxi dress last year from Vero Moda for our Sorrento holiday - I also have it in a dark purple/wine colour! My flipflops are from Dune & my accessories are the same as always: Orelia hoops, Alex & Ani bracelets & Scorpio necklace from my dad. I'm also wearing my pink Fitbug!

Eduardo is wearing a little baby blue playsuit from the Disney Store and baby blue stars dribble bib from Jack & Jillaroo!

Emilia wore an orange onesie from Carters, pink hearts tutu from The Children's Place and her pink Converse! Her bow is a pink heart one from Heather's Bonny Bows.

Addicted to Frappuccinos!

Yesterday Erika & I explored more of our town taking full advantage of the kids' naptime in the afternoon! We also got frappuccinos or frappés as they're called in Caffe Nero...I think we're now officially addicted! I wore a black nursing singlet from Boob, turquoise shorts from Vero Moda and Zara sandals.

Eduardo wore a cute little ensemble from The Children's Place! This consisted of a t-shirt onesie with cars on it and matching navy & cream sweat pants. He also wore a navy blue dribble bib from Tesco F&F.

Emilia spent the day at home, which is why she's in her slippers! They are also from The Children's Place but unfortunately they're getting too small for her! :( Her Hello Kitty outfit is from Esprit. She is wearing a white & blue nautical t-shirt & hot pink capri pants. Her pink bow is by Layniebug and the Minnie Mouse headband is from Heather's Bonny Bows.

Cupcake Milkshake!

Here's what I wore when Erika & I went to Bluewater Shopping Centre earlier in the week! I actually had started off the day wearing something completely different but got covered in milk stains...breastfeeding problems!! So I finally settled on this Zara blouse which I got last year for Sorrento, my Mother Tucker leggings and a Mother Tucker nursing tank underneath. Both of these are shapewear that suck everything in which I'm finding really useful especially at 3 months postpartum! Sometimes you just need an extra bit of hidden "support" to hold it all in if you know what I mean ;) My shoes are some of the most comfortable ones I own - they are black suede leather flats from New Look.

Emilia was less interested in posing for pictures and more concerned with "cleaning" with her new body brush she randomly found...ha ha ha! Her outfit is all Zara - a light pink duck t-shirt and the super soft dark pink printed leggings in an almost quilted material. She wore her pink giraffe sandals later on when playing in the garden and her bow is from Ellie Rose Bows & Clothes.

Poor Eduardo didn't get a look-in, as it seems I was more concerned about getting a picture of this beauty instead!! Ha ha ha, oops. Erika & I went to Lola's Cupcakes in Bluewater and got Red Velvet Cupcake Milkshakes...oh.my.god. These things are heaven in your mouth - whoever invented such glorious perfection deserves to be a king (or queen) because this is quite literally THE most delicious thing I have ever tasted!!! There is an actual cupcake in the milkshake...as in you can taste the crumbs going up the straw while you sip it. This is the food of angels!!! You can actually see my honest first time reaction to the taste of it in my video below...my face says it all!

Aside from that, Eduardo's outfit was really cute too but I did forget to take a proper picture of it! He was wearing a little star onesie& star pants from Baby Gap along with his grey dribble bib from Jack & Jillaroo (my favourite one he owns).

Watch my vlog from this day above, complete with our outfits, what I ate and a bit of a haul!

Pizza in the Park!

Another sunny day calls for another day at the park! This is the same Vero Moda maxi dress as the one from this post, only in burgundy. My sandals are by Dune and hoop earrings are from Orelia! I'm also wearing my pink Fitbug which I show you guys how to use in the video below.

Emilia wore the perfect ballerina outfit! Her onesie is from Carters, the tutu is by George at Asda, her flower clip was a gift from Lorraine Stanick and her little shoes were from my mom (bought in Italy).

You can't really see Eduardo's outfit as he was asleep for most of the park! But his dribble bib is from Tesco F&F, his t-shirt/onesie and sweat pants are by The Children's Place.

Here is my vlog from the day featuring bits of what I ate, our outfits of the day and some tips on how I use my Fitbug app! Hope you guys enjoy!

Style Saturday: Family Outfits!

Today's outfit of the day is brought to you by Theo! Our fattest pup...ha ha ha! I am wearing my white shorts that I bought in a little boutique in Sorrento last year, a turquoise Boob nursing singlet, my white Havaianas and I also took with me a white lightweight Guess top for the evening when it got a bit chilly.

Emilia wore a light denim "Sweet Orange" dress from Zara, a yellow headband from H&M and matching shoes from Livie & Luca! It's so difficult to get a full picture of her outfit these days as she's so active! This is why they are mostly action shots!

You can't really see Eduardo's outfit as unfortunately he's in his carseat again - but I snapped this just as we were leaving for Brighton! He wore orange & grey cat print leggings from Zara, a striped dribble bib from Tesco F&F and grey "To the Moon and Back" t-shirt from Peek.

And why not include Jonathan's outfit too...he is wearing a vest top from Topman, Zara shorts and his shoes are by Hype or "lupe" as he calls them! Ha ha ha! His hat is from SuperDry and he is also wearing his white Fitbug!

You can watch my vlog featuring our outfits & what I ate above! Hope you enjoy & are having a lovely weekend!
